Preparing for your treatment does not require a whole lot of work. There are a few quick things you can do to enjoy a swift procedure. First, we understand it is tempting, but please stop your skin care regime 1 week before treatment. This includes waxing and applying skin care products because it may create complications during your procedure. Stop any home exfoliation treatment for about a week. Next, we advise you to avoid prolonged exposure to the sun a week before treatment. Patients experiencing an acne flare-up are recommended to hold off on their treatment until after it clears.
Procedure
After we settle a few remaining items, you will be taken to one of our treatment rooms. First, your skin will be cleansed to remove oils, bacteria, and dirt. The dermaplaning process causes little, if any, discomfort. It feels like you got a clean shave from a caring professional. Dermaplaning uses medical-grade 10 and 10R-gauge scalpels.
